Food & Travel

Food and travel often goes together. Food is undeniably part of the culture of a country...trying & experience the local food is something fun to do. I was in Medan when i had one of those food travel opportunities.

Wonder-full Swiss

For me, Switzerland is one of the most beautiful places on earth, with its unspoilt natural landscapes. The country is simply stunning where people and nature coexist in harmony.

The Bund

Shanghai - the largest city in China and possibly the world (with an estimated population of 17million)!
One of the tourist attraction in the city is The Bund area. Stretched along the bank of Huangpu River, it is famous with various buildings of architectural styles. For me, a mention of this area will bring back memories of the famous HK period drama in the 80s, "Shàng Hǎi tān" - translation: Shanghai Bund. One can say that Bund is an epitome of Shanghai's history.

Sun, Sea & Sand

Something from the home country, Malaysia. One of the most visited islands in Sabah, Manukan Island is easily accessed from the jetty at downtown Kota Kinabalu. Personally, i think the beach is not that spectacular but the place is clean and well-maintained. I guess most people come here for the amazing underwater marine life. Due to the close proximity to Kota Kinabalu, a day trip is possible.

When? 20th March 2009
What? A quiet part of the island - private beach exclusively for the resort in the island. Good view too of the sea and beyond from the balcony of one of the rooms.

Carnival Time!

Not many people know about the Carnaval event in Netherlands. Carnaval is a 3 day event that takes place in February exclusively in the southeast Netherlands. People celebrate by watching parades, dressing up in crazy outfits, and partying with friends and family -- and of course, a lot of drinking!
It was in Cuijk, the Netherlands when i was caught in the middle of the festivities.
