Food & Travel

Food and travel often goes together. Food is undeniably part of the culture of a country...trying & experience the local food is something fun to do. I was in Medan when i had one of those food travel opportunities.

What? Fried Frog Legs! Look crispy enough? I didn't have the stomach to try it though : (

What? Mmm...Satay Padang Medan. Instead of the peanut sauce like Msian version, the sauce is made from rice flour mixed with turmeric, ginger, garlic, curry powder and salt (& some other stuff i couldn't remember). This i definitely tried : )

    dee-licious i'm sure. What's the weirdest or nastiest stuff you've ever eaten during your trips abroad?

    I'm not that adventurous with food...emm, let me think. Probably Unagi (fresh water eel) in Japan. It may not be weird for a lot of people but it sure is for me!
    Then again, what may consider nasty/weird in one country may be consider a delicacy in another country.
